you'd like to become a part of the Dolphin Channel the first place to
start is by enrolling in COM 217 Basic Broadcast Journalism. Here
you'll learn how to produce and report utilizing Jacksonville
University's digital editing system. The course is offered every
semester, and fills very quickly.
After that, you'll learn advanced
techniques in COM 317 and ultimately produce your own long format news
program, tackling a serious issue facing the Jacksonville community in
COM 417.
You'll also spend one semester focusing
on the craft and art of writing broadcast news. In COM 333W you'll
learn how to write for your audience and serve as a contemporary story
teller in today's information age. This writing intensive course
is offered once a year, usually in the spring semester.
