Inspired by NPR’s This I Believe series, I challenged my advanced broadcasting students to produce an essay explaining their personal philosophy. The work that you see on this site is the final version of more than three written essays and several edited video versions. This narrative style of video is unlike any other project I have assigned to my students. It presented unique challenges, as the student reporters change roles and become the subject of a very personal nature. The result is a powerful brave body of work that is both inspiring and enlightening as my students share with the world what is it that they believe.
